Home Remedies for Acidity

We all are faced with the acid burns in our stomach once in a while. This is more common for people who are eating outside often. Acidity is related to heartburn and gas formation in the stomach.

Causes, Reasons for Acidity -
Food which are rich in fat such as chocolate, cheese, cakes, colas cause acidity.
Skipping breakfast can cause acidity
Excessive intake of alcohol, caffeine and smoking can cause acidity too
Obesity, Pregnancy, Aging, bad eating habits, irregular eating hours, too little sleep, stress also aggravate acidity

How to control Acidity-
What to eat and how much to eat is a major controlling factor for acidity
Avoid eating fried, fatty junk food to avoid acidity
Avoid spicy and too much oily food
Avoid eating too much protein-rich and dairy food like milk at night
Eat food in small quantity and and same time every day
Divide your meals into portions
Alcohol and smoking should be a big no for a healthy body
